Can I call in my order?

Yes, but I cannot begin processing the order til the next day.

Do I have to pay sales tax?

Only if I ship to a California address. Since my only location in in Southern California, I am only responsible to collect sales tax on products delivered to a California address.

How do I buy or use a gift certificate?

To BUY one, just click on the Gift Certificate tab. You can select an amount for the gift certificate and it will be added to your shopping cart. To USE a gift certificate - once you are ready to check-out, there is a place for entering your gift certificate number. The amount of the gift certificate will be deducted from your purchase.

How do I return an item?

In the unlikely event that you are unhappy with your purchase you may return the item within 30 days for a full refund or exchange. Shipping charges are non-refundable. All returns must be in brand new condition with Gund tags still attached. To return merchandise you MUST email us first at jansbearessentials@cox.net to receive a return authorization number. Returns without an authorization number, after the 30 days and/or returned merchandise in less than new condition will be subject to a minimum 50% restocking fee. I want my customers happy and don't want returns to be a hassle.

*Please note that all clearance merchandise is final sale. No refunds or exchanges will be given for clearance or antique/collectible items unless there was an error in my description.

When will my order be shipped?

The order will be shipped within 3 days from receipt. I do offer a rush service but an additional $10.00 will be added to your total. Also, overnight and 2nd day air service is available. Of course the faster you want it, the more the delivery companies will charge.

How much does shipping cost?

Each item shows the individual shipping costs. All items are shipped from Southern California, usually via Priority Mail.   To obtain rates for an international order, contact me before you place your order online. I will calculate shipping charges and update the website for you.  Once that is done your order can be placed.   The shipping on most items is a close guestimate.   If the amount quoted on the website is higher than actual, I will only charge you the actual shipping.   When ordering multiple items, the items will be combined (unless going to different locations) and you will only be charged the actual shipping.

When will I know when my order has been shipped?

You will be notified via e-mail when you item has been shipped with a tracking number if available. 

Do you offer gift wrapping?

Not really.  But I can include a card with your purchase for no extra charge.  I always use Gund tissue paper in the box and your invoice with pricing will not be in the box.

Is it safe to use my credit card for purchase?

Yes. Jan's Bear Essentials will not share or sell names or any other information about my online customers.

All online transactions are handled with industry-standard SSL encryption. When you enter your credit card number into the order form, it is transmitted across the Internet in an encrypted (scrambled) form, then decoded when it gets to my server.

What types of payment are accepted?

I accept payments through all credit cards and Paypal.   I can also accept e-checks and money orders/cashiers checks. Of course any money order/cashier's check mailed to Jan's Bear Essentials will delay the shipment.
